Step Down
Step Down
A simple path finding puzzle about counting your steps - and never taking one too many.
You start on the solid center square. Every numbered tile tells you exactly how many times it can be stepped on: each time you move off a tile, its number ticks down by one. Run it to zero and it becomes empty. Step onto an empty tile and it's game over. Clear every tile and land back on the center to win.
Sounds simple. It isn't. The moment you start counting steps, every move matters - crossing the same tile twice, doubling back, and saving just enough to make it home.
How to play
- Move with the arrow keys / WASD or swiping left, right, up and down.
- A tile's number is how many times you can still step on it.
- Leaving a tile decreases its number by one. At 0 it becomes empty.
- Stepping on an empty tile ends the run.
- Empty every tile and return to the solid center to complete the level.
